FORMAT DIFFERENCES

JPEG is widely compatible and efficient for photos. PNG preserves transparency and sharp graphics. WebP often balances quality and smaller file size in modern browsers.

PNG and WebP can preserve transparent areas. JPEG has no alpha channel, so transparent pixels are placed on white.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Does quality affect PNG?

No. The quality slider applies to lossy formats such as JPEG and WebP; PNG output is lossless.

What does aspect ratio mean?

It is the relationship between width and height. Locking it prevents accidental distortion.

Can I enlarge a small image?

Yes, but enlargement cannot recreate detail that was not present in the source.
